Female PE Teacher Faces Charges Over Affair With 14 Year-Old Pupil
Karen Louise Ellis, a teacher in her late 30s, is facing charges after police were notified that she was having an affair with a 14 year-old male pupil. She faces seven counts of having sex with a child and seven counts of committing an indecent act.
Ms Ellis, who is married and has three children of her own, taught physical education and health education at a Melbourne state secondary school, she has now resigned. Other students at the school say that the affair was common knowledge.
Ms Ellis's husband told the press that his wife would not be commenting: "I think she would really have to speak to a solicitor before she comments," he said. "Nothing can really be done now before it goes to court."
