RABAT, Nov.26 - Morocco expects to reap 20 billion MAD (over US$ 2 billion) from the two privatization operations of Maroc-telecom , Morocco’s land and mobile phone and internet operator, said finance and privatization minister Fathallah Oualaou.
The minister told “La Nouvelle Tribune” weekly 12.4 billion MAD will be collected from the selling of 16% of the company’s capital and around 9 billion MAD from the floating of 14.9% of the capital on the stock market of Casablanca and Paris.
Vivendi Universal increase last week its stake from 35% to 51% in Maroc-Telecom capital in a deal of 12.4 billion MAD (over US$ 1 billion).
