The Dutch Transportation, Public Affairs and Water Management minister said Monday that the Dutch companies are ready to invest in Iran industrial and transportation sectors.

Meeting a visiting Iranian Parliamentary delegation Mrs Tineke Netelenbos also expressed satisfaction on the cordial ties between Tehran and Amsterdam.

She further said that her country was ready to transfer experiences in sea and air transportation to Iran.

Netelenbos also called for Tehran assistance in increasing the Dutch flag carrier -KLM- flights from Amsterdam to Tehran and boosting the frequency of exchange of trade delegations between the two nations.

For his part, Head of Iran Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi and the accompanying delegation said that the Iranian parliament is ready to boost bilateral ties with the Hague in all areas.

He also highlighted the easier access from Iran to other regional markets through railroad which has been completed in the recent years.

Also, there are ample joint venture opportunities between the two nations private sectors in carrying out projects in the neighboring countries including Iraq and Afghanistan.

Other areas of potential cooperation include civil aviation, trade, and participation by the Dutch private sector firms in other phases of the Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA).

Construction of Tehran-Hamedan-Sanandaj and Shiraz-Isfahan railroads as well as projects in road safety and management are other sectors with solid prospects for cooperation, Boroujerdi underlined.

Boroujerdi, heading a delegation, arrived in the Netherlands on June 23.

During its stay, the Iranian parliamentary delegation paid a visit to the Dutch Islamic University of Rotterdam and held talks with its officials and professors.

The delegation also conferred with President of Iran-US Claims Tribunal Krzysztof Subiszewski.

Iranian and Dutch parliamentary officials in a joint meeting in the Hague on Monday discussed bilateral ties, issues of mutual interests and main political developments in the region.

Boroujerdi and his Dutch counterparts led by Henk Dehan attended the meeting.

Dehan expressed gratitude over boosting of Iran-Netherlands relations, saying the Netherlands attached high importance to Iranian issues.

He expressed his country's readiness to negotiate and exchange views with Iran.

Meanwhile, The Netherlands Commercial Attache in Iran Adrie de Roo said here last month that the agriculture and animal husbandry exchange between Iran and the Netherlands stands at about dlrs 45 million annually.

Following a visit to a caviar processing unit in this northern city, accompanied by the Dutch Ambassador to Iran Hein de Vries, de Roo told IRNA that the two countries private sectors bear the bulk of the trade exchange between the two nations in various kinds of agricultural products.

He also added that the technical and governmental cooperation between the two nations is at a high level and they have good cooperation in agriculture and related industries.

De Roo also said that delegation is in this Caspian city for closer observation of fisheries facilities, production and farming of fish and caviar processing units.

The Dutch official also praised Iran's caviar industry facilities saying that the industry is among the most competitive in the world.

He said that the Netherlands is ready to cooperate with Iran in economic and agricultural sectors and transfer of new technology.

Also, the two sides agreed that an Iranian delegation will visit Amsterdam in the near future.

:vreemd: Ik ben benieuwd hoeveel zakelijke deals de mist ingaan doordat er bij zakenlunches geen wijn geschonken mag worden.
