PASSENGER PLANE CRASHES
A plane carrying 152 passengers has crashed in western Venezuela.
Authorities have started searching for the aircraft after it lost contact with air traffic control.
Venezuelan spokesman Antonio Rivero there had been reports of an explosion in a remote area near the Colombian border.
The plane went missing around 4am local time.
It is not known which airline the plane belonged to.
