Phil Collins ziet reünie van Genesis zitten
De Britse popster Phil Collins staat open voor een reünie van supergroep Genesis, zo heeft de BBC gemeld. Genesis bracht vooral in het begin van de jaren zeventig ,,symfonische rock'' en spectaculaire liveshows. In 1975 verliet zanger Peter Gabriel de groep om met een solocarrière van start te gaan. Drummer Phil Collins nam de microfoon over. Zeven jaar geleden ging Genesis uiteen. De 54-jarige Collins zegt nu dat hij niet afkerig staat van een reünie van de oorspronkelijke ,,line-up'', met Peter Gabriel als zanger en hijzelf weer achter zijn drumstel.

Ja, dat was de laatste. A trick of the tail en Wind and Wuthering gingen daarna nog. Hoewel daar al een draal van een Collinsnummer op stond. Maar al op Selling England by the Pound staat zo'n dodelijk nummer. Speciaal daarvoor heb ik later de CD's maar gekocht zodat ik die nummers eruit kon programmeren (Vooral Your Own Special Way op W&W :kotsen: )

JUIST met die krassen en tikken. Die miste ik echt op de CD's :nerveus:
Maar ik vond het geluid wel erg vlak. Dus heb ik van een paar maar goede mp3-tjes gedownload en die gebrand.
Alleen platen waar ik geen alternatief voor heb kunnen vinden heb ik nu nog overgezet op CD staan.

Gillmore ontdekte haar toch? en ik hoorde hem, geloof ik, net ook op haar nieuwe LP een nummer meezingen.
Door een paar giga-seiknummers op enkele van de mooiste platen van Genesis kon ik die man wel schieten. Toch waren de eerste platen na het vertrek van Gabriel nog best leuk. En ik moet erkennen dat er onder z'n solowerk ook heel wat aardigs zit. Maar ook weer van de BLÉÉÉÉÉÉÉH nummers.

Met dit prachtige nummer heb ik eens een onderbuurman helemaal gek gekregen. Die lul zette altijd z'n muziek op bejaardenhuissterkte en vriendelijk vragen of het zachter kon zodat ik mezelf nog kon horen praten hielp geen steek. Op een keer heb ik toen mijn boxen op grond gelegd en dit nummer op volle sterkte en met volle bas door de vloer heengejaagd..... Het hielp voor eeuwig... :hihi:
