A group of skinheads has attacked Thai tourists in Russia’s Far East city of Vladivostok, severely injuring an admiral of the Thai Royal Fleet, the Vladivostok daily said Tuesday.
The admiral had to be rushed to hospital.
The police who arrived at the crime scene detained four young men and took them to the local police station.
The detained men had photographs of other attacks against foreigners in their mobile phones, and the search revealed all of them had racist literature at home. Criminal proceedings have been launched against the attackers.
Russia has up to 50,000 ’skinheads’, with active groups in 85 cities. Skinheads are currently the most violent of all Russia’s nationalist activists.
