Iran, world's 19th biggest economic power
TEHRAN - The economic studies department of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) ranked Iran as the 19th economic power of the world and the biggest economic power in the Middle East in 2005.
In its latest report CIA has announced that Iran's Gross Domestic Product in accordance with the purchase power stood at $516.7 billion in 2005, which makes %0.93 of the global economy.
Under the same report, the total Gross Domestic Product of the world in 2005 reached 55 thousands and 500 billion dollars with the US, China and Japan having the biggest share which are viewed as the first three economic powers of the world.
