Saudi move condemned by Muslims
Ankara, May 9 - A crowd of Turkish Muslims protested against Saudi Arabia's decision to destroy the birth place of the noblest messenger of Allah Hazrat Muhammad (Peace of Allah be Upon Him and His Household) on Monday.
The Saudi government wants to change the holy place into a parking lot.
The protesters gathered in front of Saudi Arabia's Consulate General in Ankara, Turkey and read out a statement condemning such acts by the Saudi government.
Many holy places in Saudi Arabia have been destroyed in recent years in what is called as 'modernizing' the city and some other justifications.
Many Muslims believe these holy sites must be protected carefully as a reminiscence of Islamic legacy for future generations.
