John Pilger (born October 9, 1939) is an Australian journalist and documentary filmmaker from Sydney, primarily based in London, England.
[edit] Life and career
Pilger's career in journalism began in 1958, and he has developed his reputation through both his reporting and the various books and documentary films that he has written or produced. He is best known in Britain for his investigative documentaries, particularly those on Cambodia and East Timor. He has acted as a war correspondent during conflicts in Vietnam, Cambodia, Egypt, India, Bangladesh and Biafra. In all of his work, Pilger has been a prominent and fervent critic of Western foreign policy. He is particularly opposed to many aspects of American foreign policy, which he regards as being driven by a largely imperialist agenda.
He has been the subject of much praise, with respected intellectuals such as Harold Pinter enthusing about his work: "John Pilger is fearless. He unearths, with steely attention to facts, the filthy truth, and tells it as it is . . . I salute him."(Quoted here). He has also been subjected to criticism, with Auberon Waugh in Britain coining the verb 'to pilger' to denote 'to present information in a sensationalist manner to reach a foregone conclusion'. The verb was also added to the 1991 edition of Oxford English Dictionary of New Words ([1]), but revoked in 1994 following complaints by Pilger. [citation needed] Noam Chomsky has claimed that the reason why journalists have invented the terms 'to pilger' and 'pilgerize' is because, when faced with the uncomfortable facts about the consequences of U.S foreign policy that Pilger presents, 'ridicule' is the only response they are capable of.[2]

Don't believe in the Democracy vs communist hype. Communisms are every where. In fact, the origin of communist is from Europe. Communist has erected the Berlin walls and established the Warsaw Pact. It's okay for European to become communist but not the rest of the world. They are not allowed self determination and independent thought and self rule. Today, they utilize varies t methods of oppressions such as sponsoring civil wars, facilitating famine, neo liberal economic system, the use of the world bank, NAFTA, WTO and IMF are the most common methods used to impose hardship and poverty on non white countries. In a parallel universe, Japan is the world police, Estonia is Vietnam, Belarus is Laos and Lithuania is Cambodia. There is no way to circumvent it. It's RACISM. Read this article to have a better understanding of the mindset, mentality and ideologist: Myth Of American Exceptionalism and Darwinism Is Genocide!
Remember this:
War is peace
world terrorism is world police
Ignorant is strength
Donation is covert war
Divide and conquer
order out of chaos
So who is Pol Pot and why he did what he did? Click here to read the article.
Pol Pot is not Communist. He is a fascist, controlled by the US. Think about it! Pol Pot spawn out of bombing and chaos. They sit and watch him massacre hundred of thousands of people; they granted Pol Pot regime United Nation seats. They condemned the Vietnamese for pushing Pol Pot out of power. They allied and sent special agents to train and resupply Khmer Rough to continue the unecessary and pointless war. Is communist bad? No, appearance it is not in this case just as long as the fascist, dictator and murderous are under their influences. In school, they brainwashed and indoctrinated little kids into believing that they stand for justice and freedom and communist is bad.
Is it King Sihonouk fault! Guess again..
A man has to make a choice in time of dire situation. You would have to make a decision too. They induce war and you can't just stand neutral in a moving train. His choices wasn't good, but what a person to do. Why blame him. Why not look at the bigger picture. Who induced and facilitated all this? The real culprit is still at large and still terrorizing the world today. The point is if there wasn't a Vietnam war, non of these would have exist...period. The victim is always at fault as I have learned from looking at the pattern.
Only the US should be prosecuted for the war crime. If you understand their mindset, you don't have to point multiple fingers around. It is all started by the US. Just remember that when the dime starts to spin, event will evolves and new players will emerge. And they know this. And they used this kind of BS to spin and deflect their own atrocity. Just watch and learn with the middle east. It's happening all over again. They are fomenting a civil war in Iran right now. They have a theatre plans to bomb Iran but they can't pull it off right now, so they are trying to sow chaos and start a civil war in Iran.
Why is America so exceptional to the rule? Why is it always the victim fault? One has to wonder. So I went on an endless search for answers and I found more than what I was seeking for and much more. No matter what you do, it's your fault. You're destroyed and it's your fault period! And I can relate to this in a personal level, in so many ways. You're right but yet you're still at fault because you're weak. You're weak becaues you lack of hatred

The real bombing of Cambodia was to leave the country as devastated as possible. The time line from Vietnam war, which a war of imperilism and genocide, to the rise of Khmer Rough. Khmer Rough and all the horrific events are spawn and created from American and it mastermind Henry Kissinger. They saw the emergence of Pol Pot so they helped escalate the situation to plunge the country into total chaos and help to keep them their. In fact, Khmer Rough is the CIA asset. Pol Pot was just a peasant farmer. The techniques that were used to torture people are finger prints of the CIA trade mark. Pol Pot and Khmer Rough were protected and sanction. He didn't die in action or assasination but rather from natural ailment. Pol Pot was protected and sanction in the Northern border of Thailand where he is kept alive with lavish living with nice home that has satellite TV and a small community. Now who protected him? And why wasn't he put on trial? There will be no trial. If there was one, foreign complicy will be omitted. It's not the Chinese or whatsover that is omitted, it's the United States of course.
You can see the pattern being utilize throughout the world that has the CIA involvement, even in south America where the most of the dictators are trained and brainwashed in the School Of America. Most notably is the neo fascism dictator named Agusta Pinochet, the leader of the Operation Condor.
In conclusion, Cambodia was purposely destroyed to show "international community" that communist is bad and Pol Pot was their main man in carrying out this horrific crimes. Moreover, Cambodia served as a smoke screen to the failured war of imperilism, colonialism, capitalism and racism war in Vietnam. It has nothing to do with VC sanctuary in south Cambodia or of that south eastern Laos. The war was already lost long before it started.
