Olifant 'Osama bin Laden' doodgeschoten

In India is een wilde olifant, die de naam 'Osama bin Laden' droeg, doodgeschoten. Het dier werd naar de leider van Al Qaeda genoemd omdat hij zeker elf mensen gedood heeft.


De afgelopen maanden hield de olifant huis in talrijke dorpen. Huizen en oogsten werden vernield, mensen werden vertrappeld.

Twintig kogels
Volgens een regeringsfunctionaris waren zo'n twintig kogels nodig om Osama naar de eeuwige jachtvelden te sturen.
