Gaza, December 30, 2008, (Ramattan)- The Israeli marine prevented on Tuesday the SS Dignity, carrying medical supplies, from arriving Gaza port.
The Palestinian-International Campaign to End Gaza Siege said that the Israeli military boats attacked SS Dignity and caused damages.
In a press conference held in Ramattan HQ in Gaza, member of the campaign Amjad Al-Shawwa, said that the Israeli military boat crashed the boat and forced it to return.
The boat was carrying medical supplies and international peace activists including four physicians.
The Campaign held Israel responsible of the safety and the life of the activists, asserting that such assault is a part of the chain of the Israeli crimes against Gaza.
According to the Free Gaza statement the “Dignity was clearly in international waters, 90 miles off the coast of Gaza,” when it was hit by the Israeli boat.
The boat sailed last night from Cyprus, turned its way to dock in Lebanon shore.
