Israeli Jews should get out of Palestine and go back "home," to Germany and Poland, senior White House Press Corps member Helen Thomas was taped as saying earlier this week, bringing calls for her resignation by Jewish organization B'nai B'rith.
In a recently uploaded Youtube video, Thomas can be heard saying that Israel "should get the hell out of Palestine," adding that the land was Palestinian, "not German, it's not Polish."
Thomas, in response, posted the following statement on her website, saying she deeply regretted the "comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon."
When asked where then the Jews should go, the senior White House correspondent said they should "Go home…. To Poland, Germany…and America and everywhere else."
"Thomas’ comments are contemptible, "B’nai B’rith International President Dennis W. Glick said in a statement, adding that Thomas's "distortion of historical reality is astonishing. Her call for Jews to return to Poland and Germany—site of the Nazi genocide, the worst genocide in modern history—is beyond offensive."
Glick added that he felt "Thomas seems to have been schooled by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a belief that Jews appeared in Israel after the Holocaust," while ignoring "historical facts that Jews have called the Land of Israel home for more than 3,000 years, long before any other group made a home in the land."
"These vile comments, unfortunately, are the culmination of Thomas' ongoing anti-Israel sentiments that she kept thinly veiled over the years," B’nai B’rith International Executive Vice President Daniel S. Mariaschin said.
"There should be no place for her in a news organization. Her comments go beyond commentary and land well in the camp that will stop at nothing to delegitimize Israel."
Last week, during a briefing with White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, Thomas' criticized the American reaction to the deadly Israeli raid of a humanitarian aid convoy, saying that "our initial reaction to this flotilla massacre, deliberate massacre, an international crime, was pitiful."
"What do you mean you regret when something should be so strongly condemned? And if any other nation in the world had done it, we would have been up in arms. What is this sacrosanct, iron-clad relationship, where a country that deliberately kills people," Thomas had said.

Veteran Hearst newspaper journalist Helen Thomas, known as the “dean” of White House reporters, exposed her bias on video by saying that Jews "should get the hell out of Palestine." She apologized for her comments on Saturday, but Jewish and non-Jewish leaders have called on the 89-year-old journalist to “hang up the typewriter” and retire.
Her remarks, along with her grilling of White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs over the flotilla clash last Monday, expose an anti-Israel bias that also was revealed in Associated Press coverage several days ago.
Thomas’ comments, including the statement that Jews should "go back home to Poland, Germany, America and everywhere else," were posted Friday on a YouTube video. She had been asked after the White House Jewish Heritage celebration last Sunday if she had "any comments on Israel."
Thomas, a daughter of Lebanese immigrants, replied to Rabbi David Nesenoff of RabbiLIVE.com, "Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine. Remember, these people are occupied and it's their land. Not Germany. Not Poland."
Asked where the Jews should go, she shot back, "They [should] go home. Poland. Germany. And America and everywhere else."
After the video was posted, Thomas wrote on her web site, “I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heartfelt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon.”
That did not satisfy critics. Beth Gilinsky, head of the Jewish Action Alliance, called for her immediate dismissal. Ari Fleischer, who was White House Press Secretary for former U.S. President George W. Bush, remarked, “She should lose her job over this. As someone who is Jewish, and as someone who worked with her and used to like her, I find this appalling.
"She is advocating religious cleansing. How can Hearst stand by her? If a journalist, or a columnist, said the same thing about blacks or Hispanics, they would already have lost their jobs."
Minnesota Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann said,” Once again the liberal media has shown its true colors. The White House media dinosaur, also known as Helen Thomas, has called on Jews to leave Israel and move back to Poland and Germany. This anti-Semitic sentiment has no place in our public discourse. I call upon her employer, [the] Hearst Corporation, to dismiss her at once. The White House needs to revoke her press credentials immediately."
Thomas’ bias was evident in her questioning of White House spokesman Gibbs. “The initial reaction to the flotilla massacre, deliberate massacre, an international crime, was pitiful,” she asserted.
Criticizing the Obama administration for not condemning Israel for the killing of nine terror activists who attacked Israel Navy commandoes when the soldiers were virtually unarmed, Thomas added, “What is this sacrosanct ironclad relationship where a country that deliberately kills people and boycotts every aid and abet the boycott?” Gibbs responded, "Well, look, I think the initial reaction regretted the loss of life as we tried and as we still continue to gather the relevant.”
Thomas retorted, “Regret won’t bring them back…. Why didn’t you initially condemn it?... Who put the US in charge of the world?”
After the initial Associated Press report of the flotilla clash, the Washington Times exposed AP's bias for immediately jumping to the conclusion that Israel was to blame for the violence.
The AP had reported, "Dozens of activists and six Israeli soldiers were wounded in the bloody predawn confrontation in international waters. The violent takeover dealt yet another blow to Israel's international image.” After two days passed, the news service filed a more neutral report.
The IDF has released a video clip where one of the so called "human rights advocates" on the the flotilla boat that was the scene of the violent confrontation is shouting "Go back to Auschwitz" to the soldiers.

Het Amerikaanse persicoon Helen Thomas is per direct opgestapt als correspondent bij het Witte Huis. Het Witte Huis en collega's waren gevallen over controversiële uitspraken van de 89-jarige journaliste, waarna ze onmiddellijk haar ontslag aanbood.
Gevraagd naar haar mening over het conflict in het Midden-Oosten zei Thomas eind vorige maand: "Ze moeten oprotten uit Palestina." "Laat ze terug naar huis gaan, Polen of Duitsland of de VS." De woordvoerder van het Witte Huis noemde de opmerkingen "beledigend en verwerpelijk". Ook de White House Correspondents Association nam afstand van de uitspraak. "Dit doet veel van onze collega's verdriet, zeker gezien haar belangrijke staat van dienst."

Thomas geldt als een icoon in Washington. Al sinds 1960 (Kennedy) deed ze verslag van de Amerikaanse politiek, langer dan wie dan ook. Israeli Jews should get out of Palestine and go back "home," to Germany and Poland, senior White House Press Corps member Helen Thomas was taped as saying earlier this week, bringing calls for her resignation by Jewish organization B'nai B'rith.
In a recently uploaded Youtube video, Thomas can be heard saying that Israel "should get the hell out of Palestine," adding that the land was Palestinian, "not German, it's not Polish."
Thomas, in response, posted the following statement on her website, saying she deeply regretted the "comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon."
When asked where then the Jews should go, the senior White House correspondent said they should "Go home…. To Poland, Germany…and America and everywhere else."
"Thomas’ comments are contemptible, "B’nai B’rith International President Dennis W. Glick said in a statement, adding that Thomas's "distortion of historical reality is astonishing. Her call for Jews to return to Poland and Germany—site of the Nazi genocide, the worst genocide in modern history—is beyond offensive."
Glick added that he felt "Thomas seems to have been schooled by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a belief that Jews appeared in Israel after the Holocaust," while ignoring "historical facts that Jews have called the Land of Israel home for more than 3,000 years, long before any other group made a home in the land."
"These vile comments, unfortunately, are the culmination of Thomas' ongoing anti-Israel sentiments that she kept thinly veiled over the years," B’nai B’rith International Executive Vice President Daniel S. Mariaschin said.
"There should be no place for her in a news organization. Her comments go beyond commentary and land well in the camp that will stop at nothing to delegitimize Israel."
Last week, during a briefing with White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, Thomas' criticized the American reaction to the deadly Israeli raid of a humanitarian aid convoy, saying that "our initial reaction to this flotilla massacre, deliberate massacre, an international crime, was pitiful."
"What do you mean you regret when something should be so strongly condemned? And if any other nation in the world had done it, we would have been up in arms. What is this sacrosanct, iron-clad relationship, where a country that deliberately kills people," Thomas had said.

'Abdallah Al-Hadlaq supported Israel's decision to stop the Gaza flotilla,
saying that the outcome of the Israeli navy's operation was "in direct
proportion to the violence" of the flotilla activists, and that the flotilla
organizers are known to have ties with global and regional terror
organizations.
The following are excerpts:[1]
"The Weapons had Clearly Been Prepared in Advance... and the Soldiers had No
Choice But to Respond"
"The Israeli navy gave repeated warnings to the ships [of the flotilla],
which tried to break the blockade on the terroristic Hamas movement in Gaza,
and also invited them to enter the Ashdod port and unload their cargo of
'aid' supplies, so it could be thoroughly examined by the security [forces]
before being delivered by land to the Gaza Strip. When the flotilla failed
to heed these warnings and requests, the Israeli navy had no choice but to
take over the ships. [In doing so], the IDF troops encountered violent
[opposition] that had been planned in advance: the flotilla participants
assaulted them with firearms, metal pipes, knives and clubs, and grabbed the
rifle of one of the soldiers. The weapons had clearly been prepared in
advance... and the soldiers had no choice but to respond, including with
live fire.
"The Israeli navy operation was conducted according to orders and
instructions of the highest political echelons, [and aimed at] stopping the

In explanation of that hadith it is not permissible to interpret it metaphorically, as it is not permissible to do so with any hadith or aya from the quran. There are no metaphors (Majaaz) in the Quran and Sunnah. Allah says in the Quran that it contains "entirely clear verses" (Muhkam) and not entirely clear verses (Mutashabih). Ibn al-Qayyim rahimahullah wrote a treatise about the Quran not containing Majaaz. If this counts for the Quran, then I think it counts even more for the Hadith.
Ibn Baz rahimahullah explained that changing a munkar with the hands is directed to the ruler/government. But if you can for example separate two Muslims fighting, that would also be an act by the hand.
And yes Allah gave them that authority, who else?? Is there any one else who runs the affairs on this world except Allah? Everything is by His leave. So it is correct to say that they got that authority by the leave of Allah and they will be responsible for it. Just like when Allah gave man/husband authority over his family, the same goes for the leader who is given might and authority over a country. And the authentic sunnah in line with the understanding of the salaf, learns us to obey the wali al-amr (the leaders) in all that is in accordance with the quran and sunnah, to obey them upon good in this, even when they oppress - until Allah brings an outcome. Also it is from the sunnah to speak a word of truth to the leader when you want to criticize, but this criticism should be in private between you and the leader, this is from the Islamic etiquette of advising a ruler. So when you have advised him, you have done your plight - he may accept it or deny it.
