Teacher Sent Valentine to Students That Read "Die, Die, Die"
R. Scott Jones, formerly a theology teacher at a Catholic high school, was fired this week. It seems that he gave out several cards for Valentine's Day to his students which included the line: "Die, Die, Die".
Most of the students regarded the card as a joke but one boy of 17 said he was "freaked out" by the wording: "I hate you, I wish you would die, Happy V Day, Die, Die, Die." The boy says Jones wrote the word "Die" on the board whilst looking at him.
"As a Catholic institution, we hold ourselves to really strong values and morals," said a spokesperson "A teacher is in a position of authority. It's not right to do something like that. You can't even make a joke about something like that."
