British peace activist shot in Gaza Strip

Israel Defense Forces troops shot a British peace activist with the International Solidarity Movement on Friday, witnesses said.
The man was reportedly acting as a human shield between Israeli troops and Palestinian children in the town of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The 24-year-old British activist was with other group members setting up a protest camp when IDF tanks reportedly began firing at them and a group of children, said Khalil Abdullah, an activist with the Palestinian-backed group who witnessed the shooting.
Rachel Corrie, an American activist working with the group, was killed last month in Gaza when she fell in front of an IDF bulldozer.
Last week, another American activist with the group - Brian Avery - was shot in the West Bank city of Jenin.
