Armed men open fire at Saudi hospital; at least two cops killed; hostages taken

Several armed men opened fire at the King Fahd hospital in Jizan, located in southern Saudi Arabia Tuesday, according to Al Jazeera.
According to the report, during an intense fire-fight, which erupted between the armed men and Saudi security officials, several hostages, apparently hospital workers, had been taken.
Following a few hours of clashes, the armed men eventually gave themselves in. According to initial reports, at least two policemen were killed and six others injured during the clashes.
According to sources, the incident started after Saudi security forces raided a suspected hideout in Jizan looking for "wanted men".
The sources added that four armed men managed to escape police officials and stormed into the hospital compound taking the hostages. There is no information yet on the fate of the hostages. (Albawaba.com)
