Teen Jailed for Raping, Murdering, and Cooking Pensioner
A judge has ordered that 19 year-old Lee Brown serves at least 20 years behind bars after he was found guilty of rape and murder.
His 79-year-old neighbour, Joan Biggs, was his victim. Brown had raped the woman before slitting her throat with such force, the blade of the murder weapon bent. He later returned to lay the woman on her electric hob.
Brown had self inflicted injuries in the past, blaming them on his step mother.
Widow Joan Bigg's family said in a statement: "We believe he should never be allowed to return to the community."
