Palestinians: Woman killed during IDF operation in Jenin

Palestinian sources said Tuesday that a 23-year-old woman had been shot and killed during an Israel Defense Forces' operation in the West Bank city of Jenin. Two people were also reportedly injured during the operation.
According to the sources, the woman was killed when Border Police and troops, backed by armored personnel carriers, entered an eastern neighborhood of the city on an arrest operation.
Military sources could not confirm the death but said soldiers had exchanged fire with Palestinian gunmen.
Witnesses said soldiers opened fire with machine-guns, hitting the woman in the neck as she watched from the roof of her house.
A Palestinian man was reportedly shot in the stomach and a photographer working for Agence France Presse was wounded in the leg. The army said it allowed a Palestinian ambulance to take the photographer to a local hospital.
