Mother’s boiled head found in son’s fridge
A mentally disturbed laborer was arrested In the Oetan town of Hania yesterday on suspicion of having decapitated his mother and cooked her head.
Police said Ylannis Karalalds, 34, killed hIs 65-year old mother, Maria, with a kitchen knife In his house In the district of Halepa befbre using a mattock to sever her head which he then boiled in a pan ofwater and placed In the fridge. The man, who reportedly had a history of mental illness and was under a psychiatrist’s supervision, then phoned his fhther and told him he had killed his mother.
The elderly man went round to his son’s house accompanied by policemen, who arrested the laborer.
Police quoted Karalakis as saying he had been overcome by a sudden desire to kill his mother,who had become a regular visitor her son’s health deteriorated.
