US Soldier Rode Older Iraqi Woman Like a Donkey
Ann Clwyd, who serves as PM Tony Blair's human rights envoy to Iraq, says that US troops put a harness on an elder Iraqi woman and a soldier rode her like a donkey. She was arrested last year for being linked to Saddam's government.
Clwyd says: "She was held for about six weeks without charge. During that time she was insulted and told she was a donkey. A harness was put on her, and an American rode on her back."
According to Clywd, the situation has been resolved and she refuses to name which unit or prison the alleged donkey incident took place in. The elder woman has relatives in the UK who spoke about the incident. The woman does not want to be named.
