California Porn Actors Back in Action
Most pornographic film companies began filming today after the moratorium was lifted by the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation (AIM) which screens actors for HIV. Filming stopped a month ago when a male actor tested positive for HIV.
So far, one male and three females have tested positive since filming stopped. AIM says: "Many of the talent who have been quarantined for the last 30 days can safely return to work after several batteries of tests (for HIV) were performed."
The porn industry in California is a multibillion dollar one that employs about 6,000 people. Most films are made in California's San Fernando Valley. This recent crisis led many to fear that the porn industry would be outsourced.
